Shallow Victory
Morris Clopton
Do not be elated with the shallow hollow recent supposed victory in the senate over Senator Feinstein’s bill. The insidious devious government is pelting your mind with hot topics to blind you about the more serious problems facing our country. We are floundering in debt, rotting in righteous indignation about who is dancing or who received the last rose while “America burns”. The present government regime attacks the rights of “we the people” almost daily.
Regards guns, the price of ammo and reloading supplies has increased 48 to 70% in the last few days depending on what you purchase. It is not about guns it is about controlling our life.
Be informed about policies, procedures and laws affecting every aspect of your life. More government is not the solution it is the problem

I mentioned in this earlier email that I was going to start writing my representatives in Washington. I already sent on with regard to ObamaCare and I just sent another email to my Congressman, which I have included below. My email addressed what I consider the two most important issues that need to be resolved right now. Most of you do not need words from me, but I just want everyone to know that I’m in this fight and I hope all of you will join me.
I’ll be sending a weekly reminder to Congressman Conaway until I start to see some positive results from The House of Representatives.
Thanks, Al
I think most, if not all, of you have seen this at least once before. It’s time for “we the people” to do something to get all restrictions on oil drilling in the US lifted.
The last big argument in Congress on this issue occurred when Bill Clinton was president. The Republicans wanted to lift all drilling restrictions for oil in the US but the Democrats, including Clinton, argued that it would take 10 years to reap the benefits of drilling for oil in the US. Well guess what! That excuse took place over 10 years ago. Oil companies said at the time that it would not take 10 years, they said 5 years at the most. Even if it had taken 10 years, as the all knowing Democrats argued, we would now be enjoying much lower gas prices today.
The only way we’re going to get the restrictions lifted is to start hammering our representatives in Washington on a weekly basis. Fill their Inboxes with demands to lift the restrictions NOW!
What are we waiting for, another 10 years to pass and the price of gas to reach 8 or 10 dollars a gallon before we demand that Congress stop the absurdity, and permit drilling in the US once again? God put the oil in the ground for a purpose, to supply our needs, and we need to use it instead of continuing to pay the outrageous prices for foreign oil.
I’m going to start writing my representatives every week and I encourage each of you to do the same.
Thanks, Al
Dear Congressman Conaway:
A majority of the voters in last November’s election voted to return control of the House of Representatives to the Republicans, as we were tired of the direction president Obama and the liberal democrats were taking our country. We tried very hard to return control of the Senate to the Republicans as well, but came up a little short, however, we will finish that job in the 2012 election.
I’m sure you’re well aware of the many very important issues that must be addressed by the 112th Congress in order to save our country from the devastating and destructive direction president Obama and the liberal democrats have taken our country in just two short years.I am writing to you regarding the two most important issues, in my opinion, that need to be addresses immediately.
1) ObamaCare MUST be Repealed. We elected Republicans in November because they promised to do just that. While I’m certainly glad that the House wasted no time in voting to Repeal this horrible bill, I’m sad that the Senate did not have the votes to Repeal. However, the next best thing to Repealing the bill is to Defund it. But, if the House continues to pass Continuing Resolutions to fund Government for short periods of time, without stripping all funding of ObamaCare from any Continuing Resolution, including the recently discovered $105 Billion that was hidden in the bill to fund ObamaCare, regardles of how the November election turned out, you are in effect voting FOR ObamaCare. That is not acceptable by the American people.
I must say I am very disappointed in the House leadership for not taking the lead on this issue. They have failed to get out front and tell the American people just what has happened with this bill, why Obama and the liberal democrats hid this additional $105 Billion funding in the bill for the express purpose of deceiving the people. This can not stand. We need House leadership that will take the case to the American people and explain why and how this was done by Obama, Pelosi and Reid . The current House Speaker seems to have trouble standing up for the promises that were made by the Republicans during the November election. If the current Speaker can not and will not do the job we expect him to do, then the House needs to replace him with someone who can and will. It’s as simple as that. The only Congressional member that I have heard standing up for the American people on this issue is Freshman Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. While I are very pleased to see her trying to fulfill the promise made by the Republicans during the November election, I am very disappointed by the ABsence of anyone in a leadership position taking on this issue. It’s like they are afraid to stand up and be counted. Have they forgotten that a majority of the people are behind them?
We are tired of still being pushed around by the president and the democrats, even though they lost control of the House in November. We need and expect someone who will take on the president and the democrats and do what is necessary to get this country back on the right track. We will expect nor accept anything less. I would hope that you will remind the House leadership of their promises made during the November election.
2) We’ve got to lift all restrictions on drilling for oil, both on and offshore, in this country, as our future depends on this. We can no longer afford to be held hostage to the Oil Producing Countries of the Middle East. The lame excuse offered by Bill Clinton and the democrats, more than 10 years ago, was that it would take 10 years to see any results from drilling for oil right here at home. Many oil companies indicated back then that it would take only 5 years or less, not 10. Even if it had taken 10 years, as Clinton and the democrats insisted, had we started drilling back then we’d be paying a lot less at the gas pumps today. But, here we are, still sending billions of dollars overseas for a product we have in abundance here in the US. God put the oil in the ground for a purpose, to serve our needs, therefore, we MUST start drilling again. NOW not LATER!!!
These are the two issues that could be resolved right now, if the Republican leadership would take the argument to the American people, just as former President Ronald Reagan did so many times. They might be surprised with the support they would receive, as Health Care and Gas Prices are two things that every American can relate to. The cost of each of these not only affects our pocketbooks, it affects our way of life, in fact, the future of our country. Doing the right thing is not always easy, but it is always the right thing to do. The Republicans need to do the right thing for the people and for the country. The time is NOW. We’re all depending on you. I hope you will not let us down.

Dear Senator Cornyn,
I’m writing with regard to the “Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee.”
I heard a report yesterday that disturbed me greatly. The report indicated that every senatorial candidate supported by the RSC is a candidate who is running for reelection. Why is the RSC completely ignoring the will of the people in it’s own party? Have the Republicans in the Senate not been listening to what the people are saying?
We’re tired of the status quo in Congress, both parties. That’s the purpose of the TEA Party movement. We want the representation we expect from the candidates we elect. Most of us feel we are not receiving that representation from most of our current elected officials. Hence, the number of candidates endorsed by the TEA Part organizations nationwide.
It is my opinion that our representatives should be listening to our voice and should be making an honest effort to fulfill our demands for candidates who will stand up for the people for a CHANGE. According to the report I read, the RSC is falling way short of this by completely ignoring those candidates we the people are putting forth for election to the US Senate. As a long time supporter, I hope you and the other RSC members will show some indication of having heard the voice of the people by endorsing some of the candidates we have put forth. Your support of some of these candidates would speak volumes with regard to where you stand on the issue of returning the power of government to the people, as intended by our constitution.
Sincerely,
Morris L. Clopton

Social Security!
I COULDN’T forward this FAST enough……….!!
2010 is an election year for 1/3 of the senate and ALL of the house of
representatives. It would be nice if congress got the message; the
voting taxpayers are in charge now.
LET US SHOW OUR LEADERS IN WASHINGTON “PEOPLE POWER” AND THE POWER OF THE INTERNET. PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS.
IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT!
KEEP IT GOING!!!!
Propose this:
START A BILL TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON SOCIAL SECURITY
———— ——— ——— —-
SOCIAL SECURITY:
(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)
Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.
Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of
course, they do not collect from it.
You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their
rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for
themselves So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.
In more recent years, no congress person has felt the need to change it.
After all, it is a great plan.
For all practical purposes their plan works like this:
When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.
Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments.
….
For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may
expect to draw $7, 800,000.00 (that’s Seven Million, Eight-Hundred
Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000….00 during the
last years of their lives.
This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two
Dignitaries.
Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more
during the rest of their lives.
Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. ZIP!! NADA!!! ZILCH!!!
This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I
pick up the tab for this plan.. The funds for this fine retirement plan
come directly from the General Funds;
“OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK”!
From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid)
into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our
employer ), We can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after
retirement.
Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 mo
nthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill
Bradley’s benefits!
Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.
That change would be to
Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and
Congressmen. . Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of
us
Then sit back…..
And see how fast they would fix it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted
and maybe good changes will evolve.
How many people can YOU send this to?
Better yet……
How many people WILL you send this to ?
PS. The same goes for their health plan Read the rest of this entry »

Subject: Jim Hill’s Letter to Barbara Boxer
Many of us witnessed the arrogance of Barbara Boxer as she admonished a brigadier general because he addressed her as “ma’am” and not “Senator” before a Senate hearing. This letter is from a National Guard aviator and Captain for Alaska Airlines. I wonder what he would have said if he had been really angry. Long fly Alaska !!!!!
Dear Senator Boxer:
You were so right on when you scolded the general on TV for using the term, “ma’am,” instead of “Senator”. After all, in the military, “ma’am” is a term of respect when addressing a female of superior rank or position. The general was totally wrong. You are not a person of superior rank or position. You are a member of one of the world’s most corrupt organizations, the U.S. Senate, equalled only by the U.S. House of Representatives.
Congress is a cesspool of liars, thieves, inside traders, traitors, drunks (one who killed a staffer, yet is still revered), criminals, and other low level swine who, as individuals (not all, but many), will do anything to enhance their lives, fortunes and power, all at the expense of the People of the United States and its Constitution, in order to be continually re-elected. Many democrats even want American troops killed by releasing photographs. How many of you could honestly say, “We pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor”? None? One? Two? Your reaction to the general shows several things. First is your abysmal ignorance of all things military. Your treatment of the general shows you to be an elitist of the worst kind. When the general entered the military (as most of us who served) he wrote the government a blank check, offering his life to protect your derriere, now safely and comfortably ensconced in a 20 thousand dollar leather chair, paid for by the general’s taxes. You repaid him for this by humiliating him in front of millions.
Second is your puerile character, lack of sophistication, and arrogance which borders on the hubristic. This display of brattish behavior shows you to be a virago, termagant, harridan, nag, scold and shrew, unfit for your position, regardless of the support of the unwashed, uneducated masses who have made California into the laughing stock of the nation.
What I am writing, Senator, are the same thoughts countless millions of Americans have toward Congress, but who lack the energy, ability or time to convey them. Under the democrats, some don’t even have the 44 cents to buy the stamp. Regardless of their thoughts, most realize that politicians are pretty much the same, and will vote for the one who will bring home the most bacon, even if they do consider how corrupt that person is. Lord Acton (1834 – 1902) so aptly charged, “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Unbeknownst to you and your colleagues, “Mr. Power” has had his way with all of you, and we are all the worse for it.
Finally Senator, I, too, have a title. It is “Right Wing Extremist Potential Terrorist Threat.” It is not of my choosing, but was given to me by your Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. And you were offended by “ma’am”?
Have a fine day. Cheers! Jim Hill

President Obama,
I am deeply offended that you and your controlling Congress and Senate would use your power to label me a mobster in the news media. It is very difficult to understand how you as an experienced Community Organizer choose to label a tax paying American a mobster when I follow your lead and assist in organizing a peaceful protest against your policies and actions.
Why is it so difficult for a democrat to acquiesce to the will of the American people? You and the government controlled media would have “we the People” believe that you desire to assist the population, when in fact you are driven to control us. You have chosen to destroy General Motors and Chrysler, assuming powers that in my opinion do not legally belong to the president. You have spent my descendant’s inheritance by actions to bail out your cohorts and enhance government control of Americans. Explain to me how this is assisting individuals outside your inner sanctum of friends.
Where is the truth in your TV and news media advertisements? How can Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid stifle freedom of speech when comes to dissenting opinions by prohibiting free franking privileges to dissenting representatives and senators? Why are you afraid to tell the American people the truth about your actions, what the real result of the concluding of those actions are?
Mr. President why are you so appalled at the nation that our forefathers built via the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States? This nation that you are endeavoring to destroy and move toward socialism was built upon freedoms that our forefathers fought and died for. Why would you not use your powerful position to enhance, strengthen, fortify, solidify, unify and move forward rather backward into a government controlled nation? Government control has not worked anywhere else in the world, why do you think it will work here?
Lastly Mr. President if you really are serious about helping Americans and their businesses look closely at the Fair Tax a real method to eliminate the deficit. Drill for oil in our United States and supply the nation without foreign oil.
I respectively request a reply.
Sincerely,
Morris L Clopton

American Center for Law and Justice
Dear Gilbert,
I was interviewed by FOX News this morning (watch it here) discussing the reports that Justice David Souter is about to tender his resignation from the Supreme Court to President Obama. (I’m scheduled to be on The Sean Hannity Show tonight as well.)
Any time there is a shift of personnel on the Supreme Court of the United States, it has significant consequences.
Although Justice Souter was appointed by former (Republican) President George H.W. Bush, he tended to vote with the liberal wing of the Supreme Court of the United States.
President Obama’s upcoming appointment will likely serve for three decades. It should be no surprise that the President’s judicial philosophy will be reflected in his Supreme Court nominee.
This being said, the reality is that a Justice Souter replacement will more than likely maintain a strict view of church-state separation, will apply international precedence to the U.S. Constitution, and will be strongly in favor of abortion rights.
It is also important to note that while the Constitution gives the President the authority to nominate and appoint, the same Constitution gives the Senate the role of advice and consent. While it is true that there is almost a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, it is imperative that there be fair and open hearings exploring the judicial philosophy of the nominee. One critical question that must be asked concerns the role of the judge in our constitutional republic.
Any nominee the President puts forward must understand his or her role as judge -specifically, that he or she is NOT to be serving in a legislative capacity.
Based on what the President has stated during the campaign, I have serious concerns about the nature of the next nominee, specifically with regard to judicial philosophy.
I have already instructed our office of Governmental Affairs in Washington, D.C., as well as our Senior Research Counsels, to begin the preparation process to review each and every opinion of any nominee to the Court. We will probe the judicial philosophy and the Court’s opinions in order to understand the nature and temperament of the President’s nominee.
There is no doubt this will be another significant change for the Supreme Court … and the future of our nation. The fact is that the Constitution must be followed.
Thank you for your support. Visit www.aclj.org and listen to Jay Sekulow Live! today and next week - we’ll be releasing more details as they become available.
